This is my marshmallow catapult that I designed. The spoon is the lever. That line in front of the spoon is a rubber band holding it. You put a marshmallow on the spoon pull the top of the spoon down. The rubber band will stretch right down and you let go. The marshmallow will go flying. The structure is also super strong. But when we were building it we had to make 2 modifications 1 was changing the spoon to were it is before I had the end of the skewer sticking into the front of the base and going straight to the end of the structure were that rubber band is resting. The second modification was joining those 2 skewers in the base together because before they were separated. One thing I learned from this was that your design might not look as good as it actually does and that it might not work but you just have try it out.
My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feedforward. Other times I will share my final published pieces.
