My Papa always spoils me like my Nana.

My Papa works super hard like a bee.

You are the best mum because everyday I get home you only give me one chore to do. 

Most times when I want to go to the shop you will take me and halfway through you will say I'm sick of this already so let's go. 

Everytime we go to get gas you ask me if I want anything and I will say yes please. 

Mum takes me to sports 4 times every week. 

Everytime it's a rainy day you will snuggle up with me and watch a movie.

Scientist and Alien monster

 Narrative Writing 

Title of your writing -  Scientist and alien monster

Brainstorming of ideas 

Characters ? Scientist with backpack. Alien monster. The scientist's face looked like he was really scared, his head was shaking, he was breathing very heavily, his stomach tightened and he was wearing a white long sleeved shirt.

Setting ?  5:00AM midnight in a spaceship.

Action Rising? The Alien monster got the bag off the professor and got what it wanted: it was an orb.  

The professor jumped on the robot and pulled a wire to shut it down. Scientist hands up wanting alien monster to put claws down. 

Alien monster has its claws out wanting to get the scientists bag.

Problem? The problem is the professor pulled the wrong wire. The robot went crazy and nearly flung the professor off the spaceship. The robot couldn't see the professor. He stood still and tried to put the orb in him. The professor snuck up on him and pulled the right wire shutting robot down. He got the orb back.

Resolution?  The professor flew back home in the spaceship 

Professor and Alien monster

Inside outer space an alien monster and a professor with a backpack stared at each other. It was midnight. It was freezing cold. 

He was snuggled up in 5 warm blankets at 5:00am sitting down eating and watching the screen. He was flying to the moon in his humongous spaceship. This was his best day ever.

All of a sudden an alien monster came out of nowhere. The professor's face looked really scared. His head was shaking, he was breathing really heavily and his stomach tightened. The professor put his hands up because he wanted the robot to put its claws down. The professor jumped onto the robot and pulled at a wire to shut it down, but he pulled the wrong wire and made the monster go crazy.  He was flung off the robot and nearly off the ship. The robot stood still and tried to put the orb in his chest. The professor zoomed up on the robot, pulled the wire and shut it down.

The professor did not want to carry on to the moon. He turned his spaceship around and went home to watch a movie called, ‘The Professor and the Alien Monster.’

To show excellence you need to work hard and never give up. To show diversity you need to respect others by not judging them because everyone is different.To show kaitiakitanga don’t litter and put your rubbish in the bin and don't throw it away somewhere that's not good and save animals because they are important to us. To show integrity You have to be honest and don’t lie. 

Reflection: by showing your values it could help to get more work done more work done.

Cross Country

In cross country my goals are      to do a lots of laps without stopping. my next goal is to keep a good paste. and my last goal is to win cross country.

Reflection: It was hard to find some goals to write and I found it easy to do my question.

Project Energiser

WALT: We are learning to keep healthy and active

Reflection: When we did project energiser with morgana it was fun when we played this game there were to teams and balls
there was a group of people in the middle of the court and they had to get the ball to  give to there team and there was a guard guarding three balls and the team with one of the big balls had to try hit all three balls of the cone by the way the little balls were on cones we used the big balls and that was my favourite part.

Do animals deserve the same care as humans?

1. Imagine being some sort of animal sitting in a cage for your life. Well people treat animals like that. Imagine if that was you, would you like to be sitting in a cage for your life? 

2. No, I don't think you would, so you need to stop being cruel to animals. If you have a dog or something that is always tied up let it off for a big run, take it for a walk or something. Help animals and stop being cruel. 

3. Without some animals we would not be alive right now. Stop taking animals homes, like the forest. People cut down all the trees in forests and take everything away from it and then all the animals have no place to live.

4. Imagine a big animal coming into your home and destroying everything. That's how it feels for animals, but animals don't hurt you that much. They might attack you sometimes but that is because you are in their home. 

5. They might think you're going to hurt them and they get scared so they attack but they don't attack for no reason. They only attack or do something for a reason. 

6. If they attack or hurt you, don’t lock them away and start being cruel to them, think about what you have done to cause the attack. Try telling people to stop being cruel to animals and give animals a good home.

7. Also, don’t litter because if you litter all the rubbish will end up in the sea. And if it ends up in the sea all the animals that live in the sea will eat it, and if the animals eat the rubbish they will die. So you need to stop littering and tell people to stop littering. You need to look after animals. Over 1 million marine animals die from litter each year and that is not good, you need to stop littering.  

8. Why do we need to take animals from the wild and lock them up in cages at zoos for people to come and look at them for their entertainment. It is not very nice for the animals.

 9. What if you were that animal in the cage, would you like it if you were locked up in a cage for your life while people look at you?

10. Did you know that there are 600,000 birds and mammals kept in the world's zoos. That is not good, you need to stop doing that and try telling people to stop.         

11. I hope all of us can learn to be more respectful towards things and animals. Animals have feelings and emotions too. They have families too. 

12. We need to stop being cruel to animals, stop killing them and we need to be kind to them and help them. I hope you have all listened carefully to what I've said.                          

Reflection: I liked writing this speech because it will tell people to stop being cruel to animals.

The Seven Sisters Of Matariki

WALT: We are learning about the Myths and Legends of Matariki.

There was once an adventurous old man named Manu who lived with his 7 

brothers in a place called Forest. Manu was the oldest brother, he had 

been raised by his uncle that was named Maku, from him he had learnt 

much Magic. One day Manu and his brothers were hunting out on Mount 

Camel and they heard people singing. They were curious so they followed 

the sound over the hill and they saw the most beautiful women they had 

ever seen. They had long golden hair, and skin so white they shone like 

stars. When the brothers caught the eye of the women Manus brothers 

instantly fell in love all except Manu. He said “these women are not of our 

kind, they are patupaiarehe or fairy women” his brothers took no notice

they were to distracted by the patupaiarehe and brought them back to their

village to make them their wife's. One day Manu decided to hide outside his 

youngest brothers whare. He waited and waited! Manu had almost given up 

when he noticed 6 Tuis sitting close to the whare and he saw a seventh 

one to join the others. Manu transformed himself into a Fantail and 

followed the birds to Kaimoumou when the Tuis reached the Top, Manu 

perched on a tree and watched as they changed form back into women. 

Listening to the patupaiarehe Manu heard of their plan to starve their 

brothers to death. Manu quickly went back to the village to warn the 

brothers of their wife's terrible plan. At first they refused to listen. The 

tohunga gave the brothers a magic net to catch the patupaiarehe. He told 

Manus brothers that they will have to cast the women far far Away in the 

heavens. The next day the brothers hid behind a tree, waiting for the 

women and as the Tuis flew out  the whare each brother sneered the 

patupaiarehe in the net, the heart broken brothers gave the net to Manu 

and he turned into a Albatross carrying the net Manu went to the heavens 

to cast the women far far away from the earth.

It was easy to recreate the story because I could keep going back to the video.

Something I'm still not sure about after today... why whales strand there selves.
